This extended, joint presentation by internee descendant Andrea Malysh of CFWWIRF (Canada First World War Internment Recognition Fund) and award-winning photographic, text, and video artist, Sandra Semchuk will explore Canada’s WW I internment camps. Semchuk describes it as an act of legislated discrimination and uses photography, cultural theory, and personal testimony from internees and their descendants as both a remembrance and a step towards healing and reconciliation. A few autographed copies of her book will be available for sale at $35 each. One lucky audience member will win a copy of her book!
